چکیده

Myxobacteria are widely distributed in various habitats of soil and oceanic sediment. However, it is unclear whether soil-dwelling myxobacteria tolerate a saline environment. In this study, salt-tolerant myxobacterium Myxococcus sp. strain MxC21 was isolated from forest with NaCl tolerance >2% concentration. Under 1% salt-contained condition, could kill consume bacteria prey exhibited complex social behaviors such as S-motility, biofilm, fruiting body formation but adopted an asocial living pattern the presence 1.5% NaCl. To investigate genomic basis stress tolerance, complete genome sequenced analyzed. Strain consists circular chromosome total length 9.13 Mbp plasmid 64.3 kb. Comparative analysis revealed that genomes M. xanthus DK1622 share high synteny, while no endogenous found DK1622. Further showed approximately 21% its coding genes predominantly associated signal transduction, transcriptional regulation, protein folding involved diverse niche adaptation salt which enables behavior gliding motility, sporulation, predation. Meantime, number also to be defense against oxidative production antimicrobial compounds. All these functional may responsible for potential salt-toleration. Otherwise, second reported containing indigenous plasmid, only small proportion specific MxC21, most them were annotated hypothetical proteins, have direct relationship habitat under This study provides inspiration adaptive evolution facilitates application improvement future.

Myxobacteria, phylogenetically located in the delta division of the Proteobacteria, are well known for characterized social behaviors and large genomes of more than 9 Mb in size. Myxococcus fulvus is a typical species of the genus Myxococcus in the family Myxococcaceae. M. fulvus 124B02, originally isolated from a soil sample collected in Northeast China, is the one and only presently known myx...

Genome Sequence of the Alkaline-Tolerant Cellulomonas sp. Strain FA1

We present the genome of the cellulose-degrading Cellulomonas sp. strain FA1 isolated from an actively serpentinizing highly alkaline spring. Knowledge of this genome will enable studies into the molecular basis of plant material degradation in alkaline environments and inform the development of lignocellulose bioprocessing procedures for biofuel production.

Salt-related Genes Expression Pattern in Salt-Tolerant and Salt-Sensitive Cultivars of Cotton (Gossypium sp.) under NaCl Stress

Salinity is one of the most important limitation factors in development of agricultural products. Cotton has a relative tolerance to salinity; however, salinity reduces its growth during germination and seedling stages. In this research, split-factorial design of time based on randomized complete block design with 3 replications was used. The real-time PCR results for, root, stem, and leaves of...
